Adds support for Sony Handycam HDR-FX1, enhanced HD editing, more
MainConcept, a leader in codecs and other video technology, today released version 1.0.5 of its MPEG Pro editing plug-in for Adobe Premiere Pro. The new update adds support for Sony ’s revolutionary HDR-FX1 camcorder , HD editing speed improvement, and various other enhancements and fixes.
MainConcept MPEG Pro adds native MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 editing to Premiere Pro, using smart rendering and requantizing to eliminate unnecessary rendering. The plug-in also offers real-time MPEG capturing from a variety of analog and digital devices, plus exporting to many devices.
“We are proud to release this new version of MPEG Pro,” said Markus Moenig, founder and CEO of MainConcept. “Once again MainConcept demonstrates its leadership position by offering the first native, end-to-end solution for Sony ’s exciting new 1080i camcorder . HDR-FX1 users can capture, edit, and export back to the camera without leaving Premiere Pro – and without transcoding the material to another format for editing.”
Version 1.0.5 is a free update for registered MPEG Pro users. The standard-definition version is available for $249, and the HD version (required for HD importing, editing and exporting) is $349. A functional demo and instant online purchasing are available at http://www.mainconcept.com/mpeg_pro.shtml.
