MiniDV Digital & Video Film Festival Announced Stampa E-mail
lunedì 27 settembre 2004

The idea of a purely digital film festival is one that is created from the very rib of independent film making itself. Thinking has not a slice of danger. The digital evolution gets another cell split with the announcement of the all new MiniDV Digital & Video Film Festival. Join us as we lead the way in the Digital industry as we attempt to become the forerunner of all Digital Film Festivals in the world. Each festival we host brings together films and audiences whose paths might not otherwise cross, and brings recognition to filmmakers who might not otherwise have a platform for exhibition.

Scheduled for December 10th, 11th, & 12th 2004 in Hollywood, CA. the MiniDV Digital Festival is underway and currently accepting submissions. Focusing on creative works shot in only Digital & Video formats, the MDVF is a full featured 3-day film festival recognizing the best Narratives, Comedies, Documentaries, Music Videos, Experimentals & Animations in friendly competition.

"Some of the best filmmakers in the world may never get noticed because they couldn't shoot their film in a format that they could afford. The MiniDV Film Festival, is a bold anarchist move to promote the world of film-making in the new digital format." - Says MDVF producer Shannon W. Rawls.

We also believe that independent films have lost their original intent due to multi-million dollar backing from production companies, despite being classified as independent. EVERYONE has a consumer/prosumer video camera...EVERYONE wants to be a star! The MDVF was been established to fuse these two entities together by giving the futurist writers, producers & directors the opportunity to showcase their talents utilizing equipment they can afford, while still producing creative stories & ideas that will leave the audience in standing and ovation.

Every revolution begins with its first act of defiance.Established in 2003 and rock-solid plans for growth, the MDVF is destined to be one of the greatest film-festivals in the USA encouraging filmmakers of all genre's to submit their work to be showcased and exalted as the best films ever shot in Digital. Seeing the lack of great films in some of the big name film festivals, the idea of an all digital festival was born ... After countless months of research and study, The MiniDV Film Festival was formed.
