Pagina 3 di 7 Aspect HD and editing in Premiere Pro 2.0 You know that you’re working with a Cineform preset because of the splash screen you see entering in Premiere main window.
In the capture codec settings (with camera connected and turned on) Cineform shows a number of parameters (format, resize, deinterlace, rate change, etc.)
Cineform’s Aspect HD installs not only the capture codec, but also a set of proprietary video effects and transitions.
Working on a Cineform project using its effects allows the user to edit in real time, and this fact is very important when working in HDV. Video effects, not much to tell the truth, are perfectly integrated in Premiere Pro. That is no configuration pop-ups which involve using a different graphic interface.
This perfect integration allows to control the effects also from the new Premiere Pro 2.0 “History panel”, from which the user can undo certain actions (for color correction filters there can be many efforts) and better check the final result in the monitor window.
In the next picture we can see the Color Correction’s settings: the typical color wheels are missing, but the settings allows to achieve very good results.
In this picture I wanted to exaggerate. With 4 overlapping clips, each with the color correction filter and resized, Cineform allows to work in real time.
