Il software in questione è il famoso Sorenson Squeeze 3.1 per Macintosh e Sorenson Squeeze 3.5 per Windows. La versione per windows ora supporta anche la codifica mpeg1, mpeg2, mpeg4 (includendo il Visual Simple Profile e il Visual Advanced Simple Profile), Apple(R) QuickTime(R), Macromedia(R) Flash(TM), RealNetworks(R) RealMedia(TM) 9, and Microsoft(R) Windows Media(TM) 7, 8, e 9.
