Issues fixed in this version (from v7.20)
•EDIUS crashes or freezes if a VST audio plug-in is operated while playing back the timeline
•Edge lines unexpectedly appear if a 2D rotation is applied to the video layouter
•DVD menus are distorted if a DVD is burned with a lower field first project as the source
•Timeline clips become partially off-line when 50i clips are placed onto a 59.94i timeline
•Photoshop (.psd) files that are generated by Quick Titler cannot be loaded into the EDIUS Bin or Windows Picture Viewer
•Once a clip is transferred into a project folder, the clip name is changed to GUID
•Crosshatch lines appear on AC-3 audio clips on the timeline
•If a speed control effect is applied to clip on the timeline, that clip becomes partially off-line
•Crosshatch lines appear on clips on the timeline if the video info properties for those clips are modified
•EDIUS cannot load short duration .MOV files that are generated by Apple iPhone 5 devices
•EDIUS exports an MPEG-2 file with an incorrect GOP size if a 23.98p timeline is exported with a 2:3 pull-down option

•EDIUS crashes if an After Effects plug-in is applied to a project that uses a progressive frame rate
•If MPEG-2 for XDCAM HD422 is selected as the rendering format, it is unexpectedly changed to MPEG-2 Program Stream once the Details dialog opened and then the [OK] button is clicked without changing any settings
•STORM 3G ELITE cannot capture MXF content with ancillary data via SDI even if the "Sustain Ancillary Data" option is checked within the device preset settings dialog
•If EDIUS prints an MXF file with ancillary data to an XDCAM deck, the ancillary data cannot be output from that deck
•When a loudness measurement is finished, an invalid value is displayed as the average loudness level
•EDIUS cannot import .MP4 files that are recorded by Pentax Q digital cameras

Bene, ora si sono più o meno riportati al livello di Edius 6 e 6.5(fermo restando l'innegabile vantaggio della compilazione a 64 bit). Se non fosse per la cattiva abitudine di mettere in circolazione degli upgrade incompleti, GV meriterebbe un elogio.
Come ho avuto modo di dire in altra discussione, con Edius 7 pare che GV tenti di intraprendere la via giusta, ma siamo solo all'inizio. Non basta solo un motore potente per viaggiare bene, occorrono anche altri requisiti che attualmente Edius non possiede. Inutile dire quali, chiunque abbia esperienza di editing professionale sa quali sono.
Se un giorno, prima che il super motore diventi obsoleto, alla GV decideranno di implementare in Edius funzioni tipiche e necessarie in un software NLE di fascia alta che siano in grado di soddisfare le esigenze di elaborazione richieste in ambito PRO e non solo BROADCAST-TV, allora il percorso di completamento potrà ritenersi completato ed Edius entrerà a far parte a pieno titolo della ristretta cerchia di software che fanno scuola.
Per ragioni di obiettività aggiungo che la sensazione che si prova usando Edius 7 è molto piacevole e nonostante le riserve espresse, la tentazione di acquistarlo, dopo aver provato a lungo la Trial, diventa concreta.

La speranza di vedere implementate importanti funzioni (es. auto-background render, come Pinnacle Edition per capirci) c'è sempre. Vorrei dare un consiglio ai decision-man di GV:
Date uno sguardo a cosa aveva dentro Fast/Pinnacle Edition, vedrete quante buone idee da sfruttare!

Non per aprire nuovi fronti di polemica, ma io considero il comportamento di GV, tipico delle multinazionali del businnes senza vere radici nel mondo dell'impresa, che puntano solo ai risultati finanziari relegando il rapporto con l'utilizzatore in secondo piano. Un vizio molto diffuso e foriero di disatri economici per tutti tranne che per la limitata casta di privilegiati. Ricordo quando, utilizzarore di Video Machine, al più piccolo problema chiamavo un numero di rete fissa e dall'altra parte c'era pronto John a rispondere alle mie domande.
Bei tempi, quando l'imprenditore era...............imprenditore, semplicemente e se ci guadagnava col suo lavoro nessuno aveva nulla da ridire.
Dove cxxxo è finita l'impresa quella che produce e da lavoro?
